Connectivity Africa was designed to promote research, development and innovation in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for progress in Africa, focusing on the areas of education, health and the economy. It was implemented by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), in partnership with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). The May 2007 report prepared by Simon Batchelor, Ph. D., and Moctar Sow on the external review of Connectivity Africa evaluates the initiative's performance against objectives, summarizes the outcomes, and assesses the strengths and weaknesses of its approach. We are grateful to all those who contributed to this effort. For any questions concerning Connectivity Africa, please contact the ACACIA team.
